Department of Nursing Service


The Department of Nursing Service is responsible for providing Quality Patient Care for all patients of the UERM Memorial Hospital.

As an integral part of the UERM Hospital, the Department of Nursing Service supports the objectives of patient care, teaching and research. It assists in maintaining an environment conducive to learning, thereby enhancing the educational goals of all health sciences represented in the Medical Center.

The Department has a total of 336 personnel from the Chief Nurse to General Utility Man.

The Department has continuous orientation and re-orientation, and in-service training of personnel and conducts monthly updates. There is also an ongoing training program of nurses for Critical Care Nursing and this program will continue and will be done semi-annually to enhance the competencies of nurses. There will be an Intravenous Therapy Training Program this summer and will then be done quarterly.
