About

The Department of Radiology has an extensive and distinct tradition of leadership in the field of radiology both clinical and academic.  It envisions of becoming one of the best broad-based academic radiology department and training center in the country. 
Its mission is pillared on three aspects: excellence in patient care and in the provision of radiologic services, achieving profit goals, and maintaining leadership in the areas of training and teaching. It strives to train the future leaders of the academic radiology community, improve the health of patients and provide services to referring physicians. It also aims to develop leaders in the field of radiologic research.
The Department of Radiology provides a wide variety of radiological services that include General Diagnostic Radiology, Ultrasound, Mammography, CT scan, reading services for MRI, and Interventional services among others. It is a fully functional unit divided into 3 sections: a) Section of CT-Scan, b) Section of Ultrasound and Mammography, and c) Section of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology.

As part of both the University Hospital System and the College of Medicine, the activities of the department are divided into (1) training and education, for which the physician staff (residents and consultants) provides training to medical students and radiology and medical residents; and (2) service provision to external and internal clients, or the patients, and hospital personnel.
