The Medical Center has a new home on the Internet: uerm.edu.ph (note the added “.edu”). Still in its infancy but ready for visitors, the new UERMMMC website—designed and uploaded by the Management Information Systems Department—is dynamic and packed with content.

Its major features begin with the colorful home page, which comes with a “splash screen” that high-lights the long-term objective of UERMMMC of being a Center for Advanced Health Science, Techno-logy, Education and Research. There is a scrollable “Headline News/Announcements” corner; a Search Engine for a quick online hunt of specific items; downloadable application forms in PDF format, for potential enrollees of any of the Colleges;

“UERMMMC Webmail,” a quick link to access mail for and by our constituents; and “UERMMMC Forum,” a regulated discussion venue for the Medical Center community categorized by College and special topics.

Of course, there’s a page for each of the three Colleges and for the Graduate School and the Research Institute. The “Students” page integrates and links College Student Councils, activities and organiza-tions; the “Alumni” page offers links to the Alumni Associations of each College, including their respective newsletters; and the “UERMMMC Hospital” page highlights info on the professional and clinical services of the Hospital. Also on the site is an online edition of Mediscope.


So, no matter where you are in the Philippines—or in the world—please visit uerm.edu.ph anytime. We humbly suggest making it your Internet home page, even. Drop by, sign in, browse, even download, and leave comments that would help improve the site.
