AFTER OUR FOUR MONTHS OF preparation, the private and voluntary accreditation body PAASCU (Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities) finally granted Level II Re-accreditation to the UERMMMCI College of Physical Therapy.

The PAASCU accreditors visited the College on January 25 and 26, 2010. "Experience... Leadership" was the theme of the workshop, which aimed to teach the newly elected student council officers, batch representatives and club officers about leadership and management.

The workshop started with a SWOT (strength, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) analysis of the previous Student Council, led by the Association's President, Ms. Fria Rose Santos, PTRP, MSPH. This was followed by a lecture by Mr. John Christopher De Luna, PTRP, MSPH, about strategizing plans more efficiently by taking into consideration elements such as goals, resources and teamwork.

The by-laws of the Student Council were reviewed and some changes were made. Afterwards, the calendar of activities for school year 2010-2011 was planned. The leadership workshop ended with the budgeting of expected expenses for the school year
