The Catholic Nurses Guild of the Philippines (CNGP) had its 50th Foundation Anniversary and Annual Convention last November 11, 2006 at the College of Holy Spirit in Mendiola, Manila. The theme was “CNGP at 50: Affirming its Commitment to Nursing Spirituality.” The Keynote Speaker was His Eminence Gaudencio B. Cardinal Rosales, D.D. Other invited speakers were Dr. Carmelita Divinagracia, UERMMMC College of Nursing Dean, who talked about “Nursing Spirituality: Compassionate Caring”; and Dr. Teresita Barcelo, UP College of Nursing faculty member, who discussed “Advocacy for Life.” This assembly was spearheaded by CNGP President Lucia V.
