UERMMMC Ranks 4th in PT Board Exam,
Yields Board Topnotcher

The Professional Regulation Commission announced last August 2, 2006 that 577 out of the 1,419 hopefuls passed the Physical and Occupational Therapist Licensure Examination given by the PRC Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy in the cities of Manila, Baguio and Cebu last July 29 and 30.

The UERMMMC College of Physical Therapy (CPT), 45 of whose examinees passed, garnered an 87% passing rate, bagging the 4th Place among the top PT schools in the recent board exam. The said passing rate was way above the national passing rate of 41%. One of the UERMMMC CPT graduates among the examinees, Class Salutatorian Michael D. Resuello, also bagged the 10th Place among individual rankings, with an average rating of 83.75%. The class performance proved to be another milestone in the history of the College of Physical Therapy.

Through the years this institution, since its first batch of board examinees, has continued to produce board topnotchers. For almost 18 years now, the College has produced 20 board topnotchers, five of them landing in the 1st or 2nd Places. This has been made possible through the countless efforts and continuous guidance and support of the Dean, Dr. Arnel Malaya, together with all the young and dynamic faculty members and staff of the College. This was reinforced by the unselfish support of two alumni who are professional reviewers for aspiring physical therapists, namely Mr. Joven Tan and Mr. Gerald Martin.

The successful examinees had their oath of profession on August 29, 2006 at the Manila Hotel. The UERMMMC administration then hosted a testimonial dinner for the successful examinees on August 30, 6 p.m. at Plaza Ibarra in Timog Avenue, Quezon City. Mr. Resuello was given P5,000 as cash incentive.

The 45 successful UERMMMC examinees in the July 2006 board exam are Iangelo A. Aguillon, Michelle N. Bautista, Suzanne Kristine Lou C. Baysa, Archelle Jane C. Callejo, Jeffrey T.
