ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS

1.1a.    COM University Entrance Scholarship**

Qualifies an incoming freshman student to free tuition, laboratory, miscellaneous fees for one (1) school year.

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Must be Summa Cum Laude or Magna Cum Laude graduate of baccalaureate course
  2. Must have a National Medical Admission Test (NMAT) score of at least 95 or better percentile

Documentary Requirements:

  1. Accomplished scholarship application form (printed, duly
    signed), attach colored copy of student applicant and parent’s
    ID for signature verification
  2. Certified True Copy of Certificate of Graduation and proof of
    Latin Honors
  3. NMAT Certificate (duplicate copy from CEM)
  4. Letter of Application for Scholarship (printed, duly signed),
    address letter to the VPAA through the College Dean
  5. Original Copy of the Certificate of Good Moral Character

1.1b. COM President Dalupan Entrance Scholarship

Qualifies an incoming freshman student to 50% discount on tuition and laboratory fees for one (1) school year.

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Must have graduated with Latin honors
  2. Must have an NMAT score between 90-94.99**

Documentary Requirements:

  1. Accomplished scholarship application form (printed, duly
    signed), attach colored copy of student applicant and parent’s
    ID for signature verification
  2. Certified True Copy of Certificate of Graduation and proof of
    Latin Honors
  3. NMAT Certificate (duplicate copy from CEM)
  4. Letter of Application for Scholarship (printed, duly signed), address letter to the VPAA through the College Dean

1.1c. COM Scholarships for Academic Excellence (effective A.Y. 2025-
2026)

Academic Excellence Scholarship is awarded to 2nd to 4th year students who obtained the grade requirement based on the endorsed class ranking by the Registrar, with compliance to the Medical Center’s Scholarship Conditions. Qualified students and their

parents will be informed of the scholarship grants through a scholarship notification letter.

General Eligibility Requirement:*

  1. Students must be among the upper ten (10) percent of the class of the immediate preceding academic year to qualify for either full or partial scholarship.
  2. Students shall comply with all other eligibity requirements to be classified as either Full or Partial scholar, as applicable.

1.1c.1 Full scholarship

Entitles a student to free tuition and laboratory fees in the succeeding academic year.

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Must have a general weighted average of at least 1.7500 at the end of the previously completed academic year
  2. Must not have a grade below 2.0000* or Incomplete (INC) in any of the subjects that he/she has taken
  3. Must pass the evaluation of the University Scholarship Review Committee and approved by the President

1.1c.2 Partial scholarship

Entitles a student to 50% discount on tuition and laboratory fees in the succeeding academic year.

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Must have a general weighted average of 1.7501 to 2.0000 at the end of the previously completed academic year
  2. Must not have a grade below 2.0000* or Incomplete (INC) in any of the subjects that he/she has taken
  3. Must pass the evaluation of the University Scholarship Review Committee and approved by the President

ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIPS

1.2.      COM Alumni Scholarships

Scholarship programs sponsored by the alumni of the COM and are made available to deserving students who need financial assistance for their

education. The awarding of the scholarship shall depend on the availability of funds.

Documentary Requirements for all Alumni Scholarships to be accomplished by the Student Applicant:

  1. Accomplished scholarship form (printed, duly signed), attach colored
    copy of student applicant and parent’s ID for signature verification
  2. Letter of application for financial assistance (duly signed), address
    letter to the VPAA through the College Dean
  3. Colored photo of family residence (i.e. facade of the house/front view, living room, and kitchen)
  4. Contract of lease if the family is renting
  5. Electric bill for the last three (3) months of the permanent address
  6. Annual Income Tax Return of parent/substituted parent, or Certificate of Tax Exemption from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) for the last three (3) immediately preceding years.
  7. Certificate of Indigency from their Barangay, if applicable
  8. For children of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) and seafarers, the latest copy of employment contract or proof of income must be provided
  9. The results of the interview of the applicant with the Committee on Scholarship of the respective college, to be provided by the College Scholarship Committee

1.2a.    Gold Scholarship (US$2,000)

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Must be a Filipino citizen
  2. Must be financially in need (criteria will be based on an annual review)
  3. Combined Annual Gross Income of the family of the student is Php750,000 and below
  4. Must have no failing grades in the preceding academic year
  5. Must pass the evaluation of the University Scholarship Review Committee and approved by the President

1.2b.    Silver Scholarship (US$1,000 per year)

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Must be a Filipino citizen 
  2. Must be financially in need (criteria will be based on an annual review)
  3. Combined Annual Gross Income of the family of the student is above Php750,000 but not over Php1,125,000
  4. Must have no failing grades in the preceding academic year
  5. Must pass the evaluation of the University Scholarship Review Committee and approved by the President

    1.2c. Bronze Scholarship (US$500 per year)

     Eligibility Requirements:

    1. Must be a Filipino citizen
    2. Must be financially in need (criteria will be based on an annual review)
    3. Combined Annual Gross Income of the family of the student is Above Php1,125,000 but not over Php1,500,000
    4. Must have no failing grades in the preceding academic year
    5. Must pass the evaluation of the University Review Committee and approved by the President

    1.2.d Other Alumni Scholarships (Subject to Availability of Funds)

    This scholarship shall be available to student who did not qualify for any of the immediately preceding alumni scholarship grants.

     

             Eligibility Requirements:

    1. Must be a Filipino citizen
    2. Must be financially in need (criteria will be based on an annual review)
    3. Must have no failing grades in the preceding academic year
    4. Must pass the evaluation of the University Review Committee and approved by the President
    5. Additional eligibility requirements or conditions, if any, that are specified by the donor

1.3       Special Honors Award (from AFUSA Inc) – maximum of 20 Slots

This qualifies the awardee to partial tuition fee grant of Four Hundred Dollars ($400) for one year and is granted to incoming Freshmen who have outstanding academic performance from the Baccalaureate course but do not qualify for the University Entrance nor the President Dalupan

Entrance Scholarships and is recommended by the College Scholarship Review Committee  with the concurrence of the Dean, College of Medicine and the Vice President for Academic Affairs, and approved by the President of the Medical Center.  

The Committee shall choose the awardees from the list of applicants based on the criteria set by the Committee on Scholarship and Awards:

      1. Must have a General Weighted Average of 2.0000 or better
      2. Must have an NMAT score of at least 90 percentile or better
      Additional Documentary Requirements for Special Honors Award:
      1. Certified True Copy of Certificate of Graduation and General Weighted
            Average
      2. NMAT Certificate (duplicate copy from CEM)

Entitles a student to a 50% discount on tuition and laboratory fees in the succeeding academic year.

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Must have a general weighted average of 1.7501 to 2.0000 at the end of the previously completed academic year
  2. Must have no grade below 2.5000 or Incomplete (INC) in any of the subjects that he/she has taken
  3. Must pass the evaluation of the University Scholarship Review Committee and be approved by the President

 

Alumni Scholarships

Scholarship programs sponsored by the alumni of the COM are made available to deserving 2nd to 4th-year students who are financially incapable of fully supporting their education. The awarding of the scholarship shall depend on the availability of funds.

B.1.1 GOLD SCHOLARSHIP (US$2,000)
Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Must be a Filipino citizen
  2. Must be financially in need (criteria will be based on an annual review)
  3. Must belong to the top 50% of the class
  4. Must pass the evaluation of the University Scholarship Review Committee and be approved by the President

B.1.2 SILVER SCHOLARSHIP(US$1,000)
Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Must be a Filipino citizen
  2. Must be financially in need (criteria will be based on an annual review)
  3. Must belong to the top 51%-60% of the class
  4. Must pass the evaluation of the University Scholarship Review Committee and be approved by the President

B.1.3 BRONZE SCHOLARSHIP (US$500)
Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Must be a Filipino citizen
  2. Must be financially in need (criteria will be based on an annual review)
  3. Must belong to the top 61%-70% of the class
  4. Must have no failing grades in the preceding academic year
  5. Must pass the evaluation of the University Scholarship Review Committee and be approved by the President

Other Financial Support

STUDENT LOAN

Applies to deserving 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year students with limited financial capabilities. The awarding of the Student Loan shall depend on the availability of funds.

College of Medicine Php 50,000.00 per Semester; or Php 100,000.00 per School Year
   

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Must be a Filipino citizen and permanent resident of the Philippines
  2. Must be in need of financial assistance (criteria will be based on an annual review)
  3. Must belong to the top 70% of the class
  4. Must be currently enrolled in the Medical Center with a general weighted average of at least 2.7500 and have a grade of at least 3.0000 in any of the subjects that he/she has taken
  5. Must pass the evaluation of the University Scholarship Review Committee and be approved by the President
  6. To be eligible to get another loan in the second semester, the student must comply with the requirements of items 3 and 4 in the previously completed semester(s) of the ongoing school year in which it was availed.

Terms of Student Loan:

  1. Zero (0%) Interest Loan
  2. Twelve (12) months to pay
  3. First installment payment – Month after the end of a School Year (e.g. If the last day of classes is May, the first installment payment is June.)
  4. Post-dated checks should be issued to the Treasury Department on or before the final exams of the current School Year.

  2. Letter of request for financial assistance/Promissory note duly signed by the student and parents/guardian (state reasons for loaning)

ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS

  1. UNDERGRADUATE COURSES SCHOLARSHIPS PROGRAMS

For College of Nursing-Bachelor of Science in Nursing (CON-BSN), College of Allied Rehabilitation Sciences-Bachelor of Sciences in Physical Therapy (CAReS-BSPT/BSPO), and College of Allied Health Professions-Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology (CAHP-BSMT)

2.1 Undergraduate Courses Academic Scholarships

2.1a.    CON-BSN, CAReS-BSPT, and CAHP-BSMT University Entrance Scholarship**

Fifty (50) scholarship allocations  are distributed across various colleges as follows:

Twenty (20) slots are designated for the College of Nursing (CON).

Twenty (20) slots are reserved for the College of Allied Health Professions (CAHP)

Ten (10) slots are specifically allocated to the College of Allied Rehabilitation Sciences (CAReS)

Eligibility criteria:

  1. Academic Performance: Applicants must demonstrate strong academic performance. This includes maintaining a satisfactory grades and excelling in their Junior and Senior High studies.
  2. Honors Distinction: Preference will be given to applicants who have received Highest or High Honors recognition. Such distinctions indicate exceptional achievement and commitment to excellence.
  3. General Weighted Average (GWA): The applicant’s GWA will be considered. A higher GWA reflects consistent academic excellence and dedication to learning.
  4. Financial Need: Scholarships will be awarded based on the applicant’s financial situation. Those with demonstrated need will receive priority, ensuring that deserving students can pursue their educational goals.
  5. Applicants are required to undergo an interview to assess their financial needs. This process ensures that scholarships are awarded to those who require them most.
  6. To continue with the scholarship in the second semester and summer term, the student must have a general weighted average of at least 1.7500 with no grade lower than 2.0000 in any academic subject, including National Service and Training Program (NSTP) and Physical Activities Toward Health and Fitness (PATHFit) or previously named Physical Education (PE), in the previously completed semester(s) of the ongoing academic year in which it was availed.*
  7. Scholarship recipients must be among the upper ten (10) percent of the class of the immediately preceding semester to qualify for either full or partial scholarship.*

      3. Must pass the evaluation of the University Scholarship Review Committee and approved by the President
      4. To continue with the scholarship in the second semester and summer term, the general weighted average grade enumerated in item 1 must be maintained in the previously completed semester(s) of the ongoing academic year in which it was availed.

       

      2.1b.2 Partial scholarship

      Entitles a regular student to a 50% discount on tuition and laboratory fees for the succeeding semester.

       

      Eligibility Requirements:

      1. Must have a weighted average grade of 1.4501 to 1.7501 (for 2nd and 3rd year) 1.7501 to 2.0000 (for 4th and 5thyear) at the end of the previously completed school year (first semester, second semester including summer term)
      2. Must have no grade below 2.0000* or Incomplete (INC) in any of the subjects that he/she has taken
      3. Must pass the evaluation of the University Scholarship Review Committee and approved by the President
      4. To continue with the scholarship in the second semester and summer term, the general weighted average grade enumerated in items 1 and 2 must be maintained in the previously completed semester(s) of the ongoing academic year in which it was availed

    1. Must demonstrate leadership potential
    2. Must have interest and involvement in community service

Academic Scholarship

Undergraduate Courses (CON-BSN; CARES-BSPT, BSPO; CAHP-BSMT)

A.2.1 UNIVERSITY ENTRANCE (FULL / PARTIAL)

Entitles an incoming freshman student to full/partial exemption to tuition and laboratory fees for the first semester as follows:

A.2.1.1 Full Scholarship (100%) – Rank 1
A.2.1.2 Partial Scholarship (50%) – Rank 2

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Must be a Filipino citizen
  2. Must be awarded as Rank 1 or Rank 2 of the overall graduating students and must belong to Highest Honors (GWA of 98%-100%) or with High Honors (GWA of 95%-97%) based on DepEd Order No. 36, s. 2016
  3. Must be currently enrolled in a local Senior High School (SHS) and must belong to the graduating class with 45 graduates or more in a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) SHS strand
  4. Must have College Entrance Test result of excellence/superior quality index score and must have Allied Medical College Admission Test (AMCAT) score of at least 90th percentile
  5. Must have no grade lower than 85% in any of the subjects that he/she has taken in SHS
  6. To continue with the scholarship in the second semester and summer term, the student must have a general weighted average of at least 1.7500 with no grade lower than 2.2500 in any academic subject, including National Service and Training Program (NSTP) and Physical Education (PE), in the previously completed semester(s) of the ongoing academic year in which it was availed

Documentary Requirements:

  1. Accomplished online scholarship application form (printed copy, duly signed)
  2. Letter of intent to apply for the scholarship with the applicant’s signature
    *Address letter to the College Dean
  3. A certified true copy of Form 138 or SHS records
  4. Certification from the school that indicates: name of school attended, academic track strand, total number of STEM graduates, class ranking in STEM, honor received, general weighted average, and lowest subject grade received. *(Blank certificate is integrated with the online application form)*
  5. A certified true copy of Certificate of good moral character
  6. Registration form certified by the Registrar or student’s valid school ID from UERM

  4. To continue with the scholarship in the second semester and summer term, the general weighted average grade enumerated in item 1 must be maintained in the previously completed semester(s) of the ongoing academic year in which it was availed

Partial scholarship

Entitles a student to a 50% discount on tuition and laboratory fees for the succeeding semester.

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Must have a weighted average grade of 1.4501 to 1.7500 (for 2nd and 3rd year) 1.7501 to 2.0000 (for 4th year) at the end of the previously completed school year (first semester, second semester including summer term)
  2. Must have no grade below 2.5000 or Incomplete (INC) in any of the subjects that he/she has taken
  3. Must pass the evaluation of the University Scholarship Review Committee and be approved by the President

Alumni Scholarship

B.2 College of Nursing (CON)

Scholarship programs sponsored by the alumni of the CON are made available to deserving 2nd to 4th-year students who are financially incapable of fully supporting their education. The awarding of the scholarship shall depend on the availability of funds. Scholarship programs are as follows:

  1. Nursing Alumni Association Foundation, USA
  2. Nightingale Scholarship
  3. East Coast Chapter Scholarship
  4. UERM Nursing Alumni Philippines
  5. EM Dumlao Scholarship
  6. Philippine American Medical Society of New Jersey Foundation Book Scholarship Award
  7. Bacani Book Scholarship Award

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Must be a Filipino citizen
  2. Must have a general weighted average grade of at least 2.5000
  3. Must have a good physical and mental health
  4. Must pass the evaluation of the University Scholarship Review Committee and be approved by the President

Additional eligibility requirements for EM Dumlao Scholarship:

  1. Must demonstrate leadership potential
  2. Must have interest and involvement in community service

    Documentary Requirements for both COM and CON Alumni Scholarships:

    1. Accomplished online scholarship application form (printed copy, duly signed)
    2. Letter of request for financial assistance
      *Address letter to the College Dean
    3. Photo of family residence (i.e. facade of the house/front view, living room, and kitchen)
    4. Contract of lease if the family is renting
    5. Electric bill of the permanent address for the last three (3) months
    6. Annual Income Tax Return of parent/substituted parent for the last three years, or Certificate of Tax Exemption from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)
    7. Certificate of Indigency from their Barangay, if applicable
    8. For children of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) and seafarers, the latest copy of employment contract or proof of income must be provided
    9. The results of the interview of the applicant with the Committee on Scholarship of the respective college

Other Financial Support

STUDENT LOAN (BSN, BSPT, BSPO, BSMT)

Applies to deserving 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year students with limited financial capabilities. The awarding of the Student Loan shall depend on the availability of funds.

College Loanable Amount
CON, CARES, CAHP Php 20,000.00 per Semester; or Php 40,000.00 per School Year
   

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Must be a Filipino citizen and permanent resident of the Philippines
  2. Must be in need of financial assistance (criteria will be based on an annual review)
  3. Must belong to the top 70% of the class
  4. Must be currently enrolled in the Medical Center with a general weighted average of at least 2.7500 and have a grade of at least 3.0000 in any of the subjects that he/she has taken
  5. Must pass the evaluation of the University Scholarship Review Committee and be approved by the President
  6. To be eligible to get another loan in the second semester, the student must comply with the requirements of items 3 and 4 in the previously completed semester(s) of the ongoing school year in which it was availed.

Terms of Student Loan:

  1. Zero (0%) Interest Loan
  2. Twelve (12) months to pay
  3. First installment payment – Month after the end of a School Year (e.g. If the last day of classes is May, the first installment payment is June.)
  4. Post-dated checks should be issued to the Treasury Department on or before the final exams of the current School Year.

Documentary Requirements:

  1. Accomplished online application form (printed copy, duly signed)
  2. Letter of request for financial assistance/Promissory note duly signed by the student and parents/guardian (state reasons for loaning)
    *Address letter to the College Dean
  3. Photo of family residence (i.e. facade of the house/front view, living room, and kitchen)
