A group of UERM College of Nursing student-researchers participated in the 17th APRU Global Health Conference held in Bangkok, Thailand last November 4 to 6, 2024. Their paper, which focused on mental health, was among the few selected to be showcased at the conference with the theme “Harmonizing Human and Planetary Health through Innovation, AI, and Digital Transformation.”
The students presented their research titled “The Spiritual Care Competency of Healthcare Providers and Spiritual Well-Being of Geriatric Patients” at the Bhumisiri Building in King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital. Ms. Eliza Mae P. Dar and the group discussed their paper and fielded questions with confidence during the open forum. They also actively connected with global healthcare professionals from different fields and levels of expertise throughout the three-day event.
The researchers were joined by their adviser, Professor Lawrence A. Flores, and research professor Dr. Erlinda Castro-Palaganas, an outstanding UERM alumna and distinguished member of the board of APRU.
